Joe Catania’s passion for helping contractors thrive has been the driving force behind his nearly three decades in the surety bond industry. He began his journey in 1996 as an underwriting trainee with Seaboard Surety, following his studies as an accounting major.

In 2002, Joe transitioned to the brokerage side, working at Marsh, Inc., where he discovered his knack for helping contractors prequalify for surety bonds and optimize their programs. By 2006, he partnered with Rich Anderson at RG Anderson, Inc., leveraging his growing network and expertise to support contractors in achieving their business goals. In 2014, the company became Anderson & Catania Surety Services when Joe acquired an ownership stake.

Joe’s commitment to his clients’ success has been steadfast. Many of his clients have stayed with him throughout his career, trusting his ability to navigate challenges and deliver results. A notable accomplishment includes helping a contractor recover from a surety bond default, ultimately securing credit from three co-sureties—a testament to Joe’s dedication and expertise.

A former collegiate baseball player with All-Conference Honors, Joe brings the same drive and determination to his work as he did to the field. He thrives on solving problems, fostering growth, and empowering his clients to achieve their maximum potential.
