Richard Anderson's journey into the surety bond industry began in 1975 as a trainee at Aetna Casualty and Surety. With a business degree from Valparaiso University, Richard quickly discovered that his background in finance was a perfect fit for helping contractors navigate the complexities of surety bonding.

In 1988, Richard founded the RG Anderson bond agency, where his commitment to understanding clients' businesses and delivering excellent customer service led to remarkable growth. This dedication set the foundation for what the company has become today. In 2014, RG Anderson became Anderson & Catania Surety Services, marking a new chapter when Joe Catania joined as a co-owner.

Richard is passionate about empowering contractors to seize opportunities and achieve their business goals. He believes in acting with integrity and fostering trust in every interaction whether with clients or the bond underwriting community. His ability to listen, respond, and adapt to clients' needs is at the heart of Anderson & Catania s continued success.

When Richard isn't working, he enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
